The Industry's Largest Footprints in Multi-Cavity Format

Driven by shrinking form factors and increasing product complexity, 3Gmetalworx has recently rolled out its most complex solutions in terms of both footprint area and cavity counts.

In the case of a test and instrument OEM that is pursuing advanced integration into a small form factor, 3Gmetalworx has delivered a series of packages where cavity count exceed 28 cavities per package, with a footprint area of 7.7" (196mm) X 3.9" (99mm).

In the case of microwave OEMs that are pursuing the benefits of weight and cost savings offered by fabricated shielding, 3Gmetalworx has delivered solutions that contain multiple cavities counts and covering footprint areas as large as 14.5" (368mm) X 6.4" (163mm) and 11.9" (302mm) X 8.7" (221mm).

In both cases, clients avoided the need to use machined housings, conductive gaskets and associated mounting hardware, while achieving required performance/compliance parameters and maintaining full serviceability for rework, inspection and test requirements.
